Philadelphia, PA-Attempted Robbery

On August 18, 2016, at 8:00 pm, an unknown male entered a CVS at 421 South 2nd Street an approached the counter acting as if he was going to make a purchase but left because he did not have money on him. The suspect then left only to return a short time later. After letting other people go in front of him, he approached the counter handing the employee a demand note stating “Do exactly as I say and everything will be A OK! Put all the bills in front of me.” After noticing the suspect had his hand inside his pants acting as if he was armed with a weapon, the suspect grew nervous when a customer entered the store and grabbed the employee's phone and fled the store in an unknown direction. There were no injuries reported during this incident.
Suspect Description: White male, 24-27 years-of-age, 5’7", 155 lbs, stubble beard, wearing a beige thermal shirt, white pants, blue Nike sneakers, and a dark colored baseball cap with a Honda emblem and Honda writing .
