Published on Feb 26, 2015 Northwest Detective Division is seeking the assistance of the public to identify and locate the suspect who robbed Family Dollar store in West Central Germantown. On Monday, February 23, 2015, at 10:45 am, an unknown male entered Family Dollar store located at 138 West Chelten Avenue acting as if he were going to make a purchase. After several minutes inside the suspect went behind the counter and taking several packs of cigarettes. When a store employee attempted to stop the suspect from leaving a struggle began and the employee was thrown to the ground. The suspect then fled the store on foot in an unknown direction with several packs of cigarettes valued at $30. The employee, a 57 year-old male, suffered minor injuries. Suspect Description: Black male, early to mid 30 years-of-age, 6’5″-6’6″, medium build, dark complected, scruffy beard, wearing a black thick jacket, striped knit hat, gray jeans, and dark colored sneakers.
