Published on Jul 2, 2014 Northwest Detective Division is looking to identify and locate the suspect who robbed a Rite Aid in East Falls. On June 22, 2014, at 4:15 pm, an unknown male entered Rite Aid, located at 3601 Midvale Avenue and was observed placing a bottle of Tide laundry detergent inside a black shoulder bag. When he attempted to leave the store without payment, an employee, who was working inside attempted to stop the suspect from leaving, the suspect pushed her out of his way then fled the store through the parking lot towards the train tracks. When a second employee chased the suspect, he turned and pulled a pocket knife threatening the employee. The suspect then fled the area on foot taking the laundry detergent. Suspect Description: Black male, medium complected, 30-40 years-of-age, 5'10″, beard, wearing a blue and white button down checkered shirt, khaki cargo pants, white baseball hat with a "Polo" symbol, black back brace, and carrying a black shoulder bag.
