Philadelphia, PA-Robbery Point of Gun- Wawa

On Saturday, June 18th, 2016, at 3:15 am, the complainant, a 26 year-old male, had left a Wawa located at Broad and Walnut Streets and was walking on south on Broad Street where he came into contact with two unknown black males where he was asked if he wanted to buy narcotics. When the complainant declined to purchase any narcotics he was then punched in the face by one of the males. The suspects then walked east on Locust Street the complainant heard a gunshot and while walking north on the 2xx block of Juniper Street he realized he was shot in the left leg. The complainant was transported to Jefferson Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

On Saturday, June 18th, 2016, at 3:19 am, 9th District officer(s) responded to a radio call for a “Person with a Gun” on the 2xx block of South 15th Street. When police arrived they were met by the victim, a 25 year-old male, who was in the area of 15th and Bach Streets two unknown black males approached him and snatched his cell phone from his hands then fled the area on foot. When the complainant gave chase tackling one of the suspects on the 2xx block of South 15th Street and while wrestling with the suspect on the ground demanding his phone back, the suspect reached into his pocket and pulled out a handgun firing one shot missing the complainant. The suspect then fled the area on foot and were last seen on the 1500 block of Latimer Street.
Suspect #1: Black male, mid 20 years-of-age, beard, wearing a tan shirt with white sleeves, jeans, and black/white sneakers.
Suspect #2: Black male, mid 20 years-of-age, thin build, twists in hair, wearing a dark colored shirt, jeans, and black/white sneakers.
