New York, NY-Grand Larceny

The New York City Police Department is seeking the public's assistance with the whereabouts and identity of the following individual wanted in connection to a grand larceny in the confines of the Midtown South Precinct. The circumstances are as follows:
On Thursday, February 20, 2014 at approximately 4:10 p.m. a male wearing a NYPD turtleneck shirt enters the Jewelry Patch Store located at 501 7th Ave. and asked the employee if he could look at one of the diamond rings. The employee produces a ring at which time the suspect grabbed the ring from her and ran out of the store.
The suspect is described as a male black, between 30 and 35 years of age, approximately 6'0" in height, 180lbs with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue turtleneck shirt with NYPD logo and black skull cap
